Knights of Columbus—Terence Cardinal Cooke Council #8495
The K of C is a Catholic men’s fraternal society that promotes social and intellectual fellowship among members and their families through educational, charitable, religious, social welfare, war relief, and public works. Volunteerism informed by Christian concern is the hallmark of the K of C. Many of the activities are designed to raise money for charitable organizations in the local area. Any K of C member in good standing is invited to join our meetings on the second Monday of each month from 7:00-9:00 pm in the Activity Center's Knights of Columbus room.

Catholic Citizenship Essay Contest
Students Grades 8 - 12 | Due: October 27, 2025
Theme: The Office of the papacy was established by Jesus Christ nearly 2000 years ago when He chose St. Peter to lead His Church on earth.
In an essay of 500-750 words, out of the 267 popes that have led the Catholic Church, who are your three favorite popes and why?
- Essays must reflect the assigned theme and be the student’s original work.
- Essays must be typed and be between 500 and 750 words.
- The student’s name should appear ONLY on the official Catholic Citizenship Essay Contest entry form, which must be stapled to the essay.
- All entries become the property of the Knights of Columbus and will not be returned.
