 St Teresa Council of Catholic Women (@CCWAugusta)

Introduction:
The St. Teresa of Avila Council of Catholic Women (CCW) is a ministry of women motivated by the love of the Blessed Virgin Mary and her Son, Jesus Christ, to support and encourage all women in Spirituality, Leadership and Service.   All women of the parish are welcome to join. Women of all ages, together enjoying the wisdom and spirituality of old/new ideas and the vitality of others. We are an active and flourishing group.

 Information on our activities can be found in the bulletin, Church Calendar, and our Facebook Page (@CCWAugusta).  The CCW actively serve and addresses the diverse needs of the parish, community and world through commitment, effective leadership and active engagement of its members.   Through opportunities, the CCW promotes the dignity and vocation of women, which encourages work of charity and builds community among women.  Joining the Council of Catholic Women is a wonderful way to give your Time, Talent, and Treasure to the Church, have fun and make new friends.  To be a voting member of the CCW dues of $5 are payable each year which runs from September to August.

 Purpose:
The purpose of this organization shall be to provide spiritual, service and social, activities.  Meetings are currently held on the 2nd Sunday of the month in the Parish Life Center (PLC) Meeting Rooms #1 and #2 at 2:00 pm.  However, we do NOT meet in May, June & July. Meetings include business items, crafts, demonstrations, refreshments, social time, and the occasional guest speaker.

Mission Statement:
Our mission since our inception (November 1968) continues to be an active and supportive part of the St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.  Our organization supports, empowers, and educates all Catholic women in spirituality, leadership and service.  This organization hopes to instill values to the needs of the church and society.

 Vision Statement:
The CCW is to serve as leaders among the parish by developing spiritual growth and leadership potential of Catholic women, motivating Catholic women to respond to current issues in the church and community and uniting Catholic women of the diocesan Community.
