Deacon Bob Kepshire

Deacon Bob Kepshire and his family are originally from Northwest Indiana , just outside of Chicago, and moved to Evans in 1998. He and his wife Cathy have two adult children. Deacon Bob was ordained to the permanent diaconate for the Diocese of Savannah on May 31, 2008 by Bishop Emeritus J. Kevin Boland. Deacon Bob is also a Benedictine Oblate of St. Meinrad Archabbey as well as a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus.

Deacon Bob earned the following degrees from Purdue University: Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture (1982), Associate in Applied Science in Nursing (1986), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (1988), and Master of Science in Nursing (1991). He earned a certificate in Healthcare Ethics Leadership from the Emory University Center for Ethics/Healthcare Ethics Consortium of Georgia (2015). As part of his diaconal formation, he received a Master of Arts in Pastoral Studies from St. Leo University (2007). He also earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of South Carolina-Aiken (2021).

Deacon Bob obtained his RN license in 1986 and has worked as an emergency/trauma/flight nurse. He has held numerous nursing and hospital leadership roles for thirty years and has experience as a healthcare consultant with an international healthcare consulting and accreditation organization.

Deacon Bob has a special interest in spiritual direction, Benedictine and Ignatian spirituality, liturgy, and Catholic bioethics. He enjoys reading, cooking, fishing, hiking in the mountains and traveling.
